Problem Statement
The Blind Spot in Brand Monitoring

The client—one of the leaders in online brand protection—was facing difficulty in capturing accurate product data from mobile-first marketplaces.
Their existing tools could only scrape desktop or mobile web, but key promotions (like app-only discounts or limited-time bundle offers) were only visible inside mobile apps.

The challenge was to build a solution that could:

  • Access thousands of eCommerce apps globally
  • Extract price, image, and product metadata
  • Handle country-specific restrictions
  • Scale continuously without detection or ban

Planning 

We worked with the client to define target markets and product categories, aiming to extract structured data like pricing, discounts, and SKUs while avoiding anti-scraping barriers.

Designing 

Our team built a modular scraping system with session handling, gesture-based navigation, and OCR for complex app layouts.

Development

We used headless mobile setups with emulators and proxies to mimic real user behavior, extracting data through UI traversal, network sniffing, and screen parsing as fallback.

Testing

Each integration was tested across devices, regions, and app versions to ensure consistency, along with checks for ban resistance and scalable performance.

Launch

The system was deployed to extract and sync data daily across thousands of products and dozens of apps globally.

Maintenance

Ongoing support included updating scraping logic for app UI changes, rotating proxies, and monitoring API failure rates.
